Transfer Your Videos and Photos to DVD

Preserve Your Memories

Everyone has some old video tapes floating around, some of us more than others. Perhaps they are videos of your children growing up, family holiday parties, Christmas or just using your old video camera to have fun.

Did you know that videotapes do not last forever? They degrade over time and depending upon how they were stored, you could permanently destroy older videotapes by playing them even a single time. A videotape’s life span is about 20 years but they begin degrading after about 5 years due to the breakdown of the organic material on the tape, heat, cold and moisture.

Unfortunately, videotape is a thing of the past. Some people may still have VHS decks around but they certainly aren’t in very many stores any longer. You may be able to find them on eBay or Craigslist but for the most part they have disappeared from everyone’s life.

And let’s face it, tapes were convenient in their day, but today they are a pain. Compared to DVDs, video cassette tapes are larger and take up more shelf space, they break more often, have a tendency to get stuck in your VCR, they are difficult to search, plus they have a lower video quality and they can’t play on your computer.

So what do you do with all of those VHS tapes that you have cluttering your shelves? Transfer VHS to DVD of course.

What about those 8mm reels of film that were extremely popular in the 50s 60s and 70s? Lots of people have 8 mm film reels of their family in boxes in their attic or basement. Some even have 16 mm film of their family. We can transfer those also.

Please give us a call or e-mail us to let us know what you have, and will let you know how we can help you.
